ROBERT THE Bruce made a special appearance at Dunfermline Abbey to promote Fife’s Tartan Day celebrations.

A week-long programme kicked-off across the country on Saturday, March 29 2008, and culminated on April 6 to mark the anniversary of the Declaration of Arbroath in 1320.

Dunfermline-born fiddler Pete Clark performed the music he composed for the 700th anniversary of the enthronement of Robert the Bruce and was joined by cellist Wendy Weatherby.
